In the story "The Fight" by Richard Wright and the story "The Confrontation" by Raymond Barrio the main characters both face a altercations. The main characters of these stories handled the situation in two different ways. These two stories are very different in many different ways. However they are also the same in many different ways. The main characters have confrontations.

These two stories are the same in many ways. They are the same because the main characters both were being picked on by someone. The main characters had to stand up for themselves. After the main character from both of the story's stood up for themselves they were both accepted and respected by they peers.in the story "The Fight" the main character go picked on by a group of boys. At noon recess I went into the school grounds, and a group of boys sauntered up to me, looked at me from my head to my feet, whispering among themselves. So he had to stand up for himself. In the story "The Confrontation" the main character got picked by a worker in a higher possion. I must take two cents from every bucket. I am sorry. There was a miscalculation. Everybody understands. the main character had 2 stand up for himself because his boss keep taking his money. This is how these two stories are the same.

These two story's are also very different. The main character from "The Fight" felt like he had to stand up for himself so he would fit in at school.nowing that if I did not win or make a good showing, I would have to fight a new boy each day, I fought tigerishly, trying to leave a scar, seeking to draw blood as proof that I was not a coward, that I could take care of myself. He stood up for himself by being violence. The main character in "The Confrontation" felt like he had to stand up for his rights as a worker."You promised to take nothing!" Manuel heard himself saying. The main character from "The Confrontation" stood up for himself by using words. This is how these story are the same and different.
